Dear all,
With a very heavy heart, we regret to inform you about the demise of our dear friend Dakeshwar Netam. He lost the battle of life to a heart attack, worsened by post covid complications, on 3rd July 2021. Dakeshwar was the main breadwinner of the house supporting his retired father, mother, and a younger sister who is still completing her education. In his loving memory, we are trying to support his family in these difficult times and your generous contribution can help us in our cause!
Dakeshwar graduated from IIT Kharagpur from the Department of Electronics and was a resident of MS hall. He was aspiring to be a civil servant. “Daku”, as he was fondly called by his friends, was a kind-hearted person who always sported an infectious smile. Always ready to help anyone in need, he was loved by one and all. Being aware of social realities, he worked towards the education of underprivileged children and women empowerment. His work as General Secretary of GYWS, an NGO based out of IIT Kharagpur, is a testament to his exemplary passion and dedication towards the underprivileged. He was a native of Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh.
