Musahar Community, is a Dalit community with a history of being termed as the “rat-eater” due to their main former occupation of catching rats. There are many today still living in destitution and poverty. The pandemic has hit everyone hard but the daily wage earners suffer the most, leaving their families with hunger pangs.
Until now, Pahal has been successful at providing the Musahar kids with their daily meals, but now due to lack of employment of parents, the number of children in need has greatly increased which is currently three hundred and fifty, as a result the current supply cannot meet the rise in demand. At an average, the monthly expenditure of the organization is around one lakh and fifty thousand rupees.
The main idea here is to collect a minimum sum of five rupees per person so that every individual be a part of this movement, irrespective of their financial status . A greater amount will be highly appreciated.
“Every penny counts”, a phrase well said. Your every donation will take us a step closer to provide food for a child.
