Close to 18 million elderly in India are homeless. Due to cotemporary changes in values, many people drive their parents out of their houses after they get married. Not just the elderly, millions of widows are also exiled from their houses after the death of their husbands. As disheartening as these facts are, there is much need of homes that welcome these people warmly.
WOMENforINDIA Foundation is supporting one such place which houses around 50 widows and elderly women in Mathura. We take care of these women by providing them food, shelter, cloth and nursing facilities. However, our social work has been hit hard financially during the pandemic. We are working tirelessly to support and sustain the lives of the residents.
Help us lend a helping hand to these destitute people who are in absolute need.
Donate now to help these widows and aged women survive. They have been rejected by their families. Let's support them as their extended family. Your love and care for them would help them feel that humanity still prevails.
