Malala Yousafzai famously said "One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world” and we at El-Jeffa Foundation say, indeed it can!
Would you like to ensure quality education to underprivileged children who have been forced into labour? Do you believe in empowerment through education? If your answer is yes, then please join our humble cause and donate generously.
The former RBI governor, Mr. Raghuram Rajan quoted “In poorer countries, education has been a way out for poor people. This pandemic has set back education unequally — poorer kids in crowded rooms without access and some struggling with cell phones — have been set back a couple of years. If you put these kids with rich kids and expect them to be back on track, it is impossible."
The Slum Education project has been launched with the aim to assist children in the unorganised slums-towns adjacent to Zakir Hussain College of New Delhi, where the number of dropouts, never-gones, and struggling to finance schooling children are in large numbers. The aim of this project is to setup a daily schedule of 5-6 study hours with DU student volunteers as subject-experts.
Your contribution can help give the gift of education to these children who are struggling to cope with online modes of education during the pandemic.
Here's a little brief about El-Jeffa Foundation, an NGO officially recognised by the United Nations. Ms. Sheikh Raisha Tabassum, a DU student along with a few friends, started this Foundation in 2016, with the aim of helping the underprivileged. With that noble aspiration, she has become the driving force of the Foundation and has built it into what it has become today.
El-Jeffa's Mission has been to connect local educated youth in various parts of the country to make a sizeable contribution. El-Jeffa believes in the power of action in a "GLOCALISED WORLD" where Global + Local is the new right!
El-Jeffa's vision is to empower through sustainability, as well as to achieve all the Sustainable Development goals proposed by the U.N in India.
Here, at El-Jeffa Foundation, we are all about making a change because we know that every small step we take impacts thousands of lives.
There are multiple projects successfully done by El-Jeffa Foundation, like Project Kitchen Garden, Chillar for Change and Project Anganwadi.
