I am a 15-year-old student currently studying in Singapore at the United World College of South East Asia. I have played the piano for the last 9 years and I am currently pursuing a diploma in piano.
I wanted to give back to the community so I partnered with Educo, more specifically the Saibaba Path School in Mumbai to help underprivileged students receive music education, as the school does not have a strong music program. I hope that using my expertise in music, I will be able to help these children follow their passion for music and develop through playing the piano.
I have already conducted a webinar with the students and identified 12 eager students, all of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds and do not have any avenues to earn music on their own, but are extremely keen to learn music as they have a passion for music. Their pictures, along with reasons for wanting to learn music are attached. This shows their keen interest in music and its ability to transform their lives for a better future.

My aim is to raise enough funds to provide enough keyboards for the 12 students who have shown interest in learning music and all funds will go directly towards the purchase of these instruments, which will then be donated to the school.
Once these keyboards have been procured, I will personally mentor and tutor these kids in classical piano, and I aim to invest one hour per week for the next 2 years to prepare them until they reach at least grade 2 piano level proficiency. The keyboards will be purchased in May and the lessons will begin in early June. I will also help them conduct a series of concerts where they will be performing to raise funds for their school.
