Story

Join Salwat Hamrah (Hope Monk) in his PAN India cycling tour from Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K). A journey that he has undertaken to discover India and himself, wile raising money for the education of talented underprivileged children.

Hope Monk - K2K is a cycling expedition undertaken by Salwat Hamrah, an entrepreneur from Srinagar and co-founder of Bangalore-based outdoor adventure company 'Get Beyond Limits.'  He is a yoga teacher and an endurance athlete who firmly believes that fitness and health are key to ensuring a life of sustainability, abundance and excellence. His objective behind 'Hope Monk - K2K' is to promote a healthy lifestyle and to push one's mental and physical limits, while also giving back to society.

Through this expedition, his mission is to raise money to fund the education and sport training of a group of talented, high-potential minors from lower economic backgrounds. These children, currently under the wing of the Potter's Earth Foundation are in Grade 10 and are at various stages of their journey to playing pro-football. Find out more about them on www.pottersearthfoundation.org

Salwat's ride of 4,523 kms covers 10 Indian states and 2 Union Territories - Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Daman, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He is looking to raise Rs. 3,000 for every kilometer he covers. ALL proceeds from this mission will contribute to the College Education, Professional Training and Sports Equipment for these children.

We encourage everyone to join Salwat on this fabulous cross-country journey as he tests his own boundaries to support the lives and futures of India's next major athletes.
