At the Eastern Himalayan Foundation (EHF), we believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of a young person’s dreams. Through our Trailblazer Fellowship, we mentor and support students from underserved communities in Darjeeling and Kalimpong—equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue higher education and become leaders in their communities.

This fundraiser is part of our ongoing effort to support students like Dichen and Apeksha—bright, driven, and socially committed individuals who have earned admission to Azim Premji University. Despite receiving partial scholarships, the remaining educational and living expenses are far beyond what their families can afford. Without urgent financial support, their dreams may be cut short.
While this campaign focuses on securing funds for these two remarkable students, it also forms the foundation for supporting more young changemakers in the future as the need arises.
Meet the Students Who Need Immediate Support:

• Dichen Doma Sherpa, the daughter of a farmer and homemaker, is the first in her family to attend college. She co-founded EduConnect, helping hundreds of students access higher education guidance and scholarships. She now needs help to pursue her MA in Development.
• Apeksha Thakuri, raised by a single mother working as a beautician, used her own struggles with science education to start FunVigyan, a project making STEM exciting and accessible for rural students. She dreams of reforming education for others like her.

These students exemplify resilience, vision, and community commitment. With your support, they can not only complete their education but go on to uplift many others in their communities.
