Currently, we house more than 65 dogs and even that is not enough. On one hand, we want to increase our capacity so that we don't have to say NO to animals as often as we do right now, at the same time, we are struggling to ensure that all 65+ dogs of ours sleep cozily during these winters.
We had made a campaign earlier with the help of which, we created a puppy pen and reconstructed our boundary walls. Additionally, we made one open and one closed enclosure with those funds as well as reconstructed the shelter kitchen.
We were planning to build three more sheds- one for resident dogs, one as an ICU and one for paralyzed dogs, but we didn't receive the kind of support we wanted.
But we want to try again. During these past few years, the biggest learning we have had is that effort is a constant. Everything else changes.
And so, we start once again, with hope and determination that we will turn this place around and reach our goal atleast once.
