Earthlings Trust was founded by Sagarika Banerjee and I, Ditej Garg in December 2018. Our mission was to help fellow earthlings, specially animals like dogs, cats, cows, donkeys, pigs etc.
We started with a small animal shelter for dogs that are either physically handicapped, old, wounded or sick. We started with two dogs Paalak and Methi back in December but as off today, we are a house to 50+ dogs.
Above are the pictures of both Paalak and Methi.Earthlings Trust's construction was self funded. But, there's so much you can do on your own. We managed to get the land, built elevated and flood proof rooms and kennels for dogs, kitchen and bathroom for dogs and staff respectively etc.
With some help from our colleagues and animal lover friends, we also managed to get the shelter boundary done and get solar panels so that the summers could be negated.
Off went dry summers and entered the rains and we realized we were not equipped enough. We have taken so many cases in that now, it has become extremely overwhelming.
There is no bigger happiness in life than giving life to a hopeless body. There are so many stories over the past eight months.
We are building two sheds, one puppy pen, permanent kitchen, double doors to avoid dogs running out and a path from beginning of the shelter to all the built up rooms and sheds.
