I am raising funds to pursue a meaningful research initiative that I believe can make a real difference for the Indian technology and innovation ecosystem. My name is Dylan Daniel Fernandes, a 21-year-old from Margao, Goa, and I am passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges. This campaign is my effort to build a drone capable of capturing high-quality aerial imagery across India, specifically to support AI research and development in our country.
The goal of this project is to create a comprehensive, freely accessible dataset of Indian aerial visuals that researchers, students, and developers can use to train and improve AI models. All datasets, source code, and documentation produced through this initiative will be released as open-source resources, ensuring that the benefits reach the widest possible audience. To bring this vision to life, I need ₹2,79,228, which will cover the cost of drone equipment, batteries, and fieldwork expenses across various locations.
India's AI research community deserves access to locally relevant, high-quality data, and this project is a step toward bridging that gap. Every contribution, no matter how small, will directly fund equipment and on-ground research efforts. I sincerely urge you to support this initiative and help make Indian AI innovation more accessible, inclusive, and impactful for generations to come.
