Healthcare workers are toiling to keep this under check and treat those affected, all while risking falling ill or carrying the infection home. The need of the hour is adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so that we do not become links in this chain of transmission. The authorities are trying their best but it takes time due to the procedural setup, administrative hurdles, and supply chain logistics. Individual donors and group efforts are faster, more in touch with ground reality, and flexible in terms of handling logistics.
