9,500 Children Have Stayed Warm — Help Us Reach 15,000 This Winter

Hi, my name is Jaivir Gulati. I’m a 17-year-old student at Institut Le Rosey, Switzerland, and the founder of Fabrecreate.

I started Fabrecreate in 2023 after noticing two realities that shouldn’t coexist—huge amounts of usable fabric going to waste, and children facing harsh winters without proper protection.

That’s how HOPE Jackets were born.

HOPE Jackets are warm, durable jackets that can also be converted into sleeping bags. They’re designed for children living in refugee camps, conflict zones, and remote regions—places where winter can be dangerous, not just uncomfortable.

Why HOPE Jackets Matter

For many children, winter nights mean sleeping in unheated shelters, tents, or open spaces. HOPE Jackets provide more than warmth—they offer safety, dignity, and a sense of care during the coldest months of the year.

Women Make Every Jacket

Each HOPE Jacket is stitched by women from self-help groups in India. Through this work, they earn a steady income, strengthen their skills, and support their families. One jacket supports two lives—the child who wears it and the woman who makes it.

Our Impact So Far

With the support of donors and partners, Fabrecreate has already distributed 9,355 HOPE Jackets to children across (Ladakh, Kargil, Kalimpong, Aizawl, Rajasthan, Kashmir, Delhi), Myanmar, Ukraine, Greece and other vulnerable regions.
So far, we have:

• Upcycled 47,500+ meters of surplus fabric
• Diverted 95+ metric tons of textile waste from landfills
• Avoided 4.75+ metric tons of methane emissions
• Saved 28.5+ metric tons of CO₂ emissions
• Worked with 15+ NGOs, including UNHCR
• Empowered 30+ women artisans

Every number represents a real child kept warm and a real environmental benefit.
