Introduction
Wild is working on reviving indigenous food like millet, wild fruits and wild medicinal plants to create value of forest, nutritious food products and create livelihood of disable and women in a remote village.

Currently our market is filled with commercial crops, which badly affects our environment and health. Due to monoculture of wheat, rice, soyabean and more, with application of lots of chemicals destroying our soil health and water body. Most of us suffer from Diabetes, Cancer, Asthma and TB.

Our approach
We are re-imagining fast food which is highly nutritious and made with indegenous forgotten food like millet. For this we are doing research on how we can involve medicinal plants, wild fruits and millet in our food. For this we have involved the most marginalized community of disable and women who are unemployed and have no privilege and respect in the community.

We believe that, in this way, we will be able to create a market for indegenous and forgotten food and create the value of forest in the society by promoting it as a nutritious snack and diet.

In 3 years we want to create 5 food buses which are serving highly nutritious food made with forgotten and super nutritious ingredients and served by 20 marginalized women.

Our Beneficiaries
Disable and Women, above 18 years, who are marginalized in terms of economically, socially or physically and who are involved in illegal employment work like cutting trees to sell for their livelihood.

Indirect Beneficiaries
Our Planet and Consumers.

Request for support
We are working on launching our first food bus with 6 marginalized women, and for this we are doing testing of following products which can be sold in our food bus:-
  1. Mahua Laddu
  2. Ragi Cake
  3. Ragi Dhokla
  4. Ragi Dosa
  5. Flax Chapati
  6. Ragi Momos
  7. Herbal Juice
The results of these products were fantastic and visitors liked them in exhibitions and while visiting our office. Now we are moving towards training women and disabled in making these products and creating employment opportunities for them.

To train 6 women for the next three months we are looking for support to purchase tools, material, rent of training center and stipend of trainers. It will cost 3000 INR per month per beneficiary for the next three months. The total costs of training of 6 women for the next three months would be 54000 INR.
