My friend Dinesh needs your help. Dinesh has been diagnosed with Stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer which unfortunately is a type of cancer that affects non smokers. Adenocarcinoma is today the most common form of lung cancer in women, Asians, and people under the age of 45. It is more likely to strike non-smokers (either never smokers or former smokers) than people who currently smoke. I have never seen Dinesh smoke/drink alcohol. Dinesh comes from a lower income family. He is the first graduate in his family and things were looking fine when he graduated with a degree in mechanics from polytechnic studies. He was looking forward to a bright future with his wife and his new born girl who is now 1 year old. Things turned upside down when he spit blood last year April, 2019. Since then Dinesh has gone through 12 chemotherapy sessions with further advice from doctors to undergo chemo as well as radiotherapy. With each session costing around 25,000Rs excluding travel and additional medicines, Dinesh needs our help. While he has now lost employment, and his medical insurance has given up on him, friends and relatives of Dinesh have put in money so far for his treatment. He has tried all avenues to generate funds such as govt cancer schemes which are demoralisingly slow and unreachable. The cost is continuing to go up with many more sessions recommended for Dinesh until the size of the spread reduces and we would like to raise funds for him. If you know Dinesh from his school days you will know how kind and caring he usually is to others. It's a tragedy he has to face this. He was the first to go to school in his family. He was a promising cricketer like many Indians he had to focus on getting a stable job which he has now lost. Kindly help Dinesh get through this fight.
