I am Ashirbad, 21 years old boy from a remote village in Odisha. On 6th Sept 2022, my father was diagnosed with kidney cancer and this just shattered my world.
My Father is the only family I have. It is difficult for me to explain in words what my father means to me. For a child who has already lost his mother to cancer at the young age of 15, it is extremely painful to know that this draconian disease called cancer is going to consume another of my parent. The only option I am left with is to provide my father with immunotherapy. At this point, the doctor has suggested taking up 6 sessions of immunotherapy as early as possible. Each session will cost around 2.5 Lacs.
I am financially dependent on my father as I am still a student. I lack the resources to arrange funds for this treatment. Fundraising via Milaap is the only option I have been left with.
