Ekadanta, is a dance concert showcasing the ancient South Indian art form of Bharatanatyam and Indian classical music featuring poetry from various Indian languages. This performance is choreographed by House of Kala’s Artistic Director Akhilesh Vadari. The dancers are middle and high school students from the Greater Seattle region in USA.

This fundraising is also dedicated for collecting funds for Different Art Centre, a comprehensive art centre for differently abled children situated at kazhakutam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and its ‘Scientia’ project. Your donations will benefit primarily on education and empowerment of kids with special needs.

Different Arts Centre is a special school cum arts center started by renowned magician Prof Gopinath Muthukad. SCIENTIA is a science program specially designed for differently-abled children to explore their interests in the environmental area. For the very first time in India kids from a special school presented a paper on zero waste in an international conference.

SCIENTIA program started in 2020 with 25 kids, with a goal to identify such kids every year and train them according to their abilities and interests. Now the SCIENTIA program continues online and our children are now ready to present scientific videos online. 

Request: SCIENTIA program is in process of streamlining operations by hiring a principal with PhD and defining its curriculum. The lab requires a one-time investment of INR 10 Lakhs and support for an annual salary of INR 5 Lakhs
