Sponsorship for Jagriti Yatra 2019
My name is Dhruv, a final year student. I am working towards a social cause for reducing the stress amongst people and for that I am making a product that will influence the mind in a psychological manner. As of now, it is a problem that no one is comfortable talking about and take treatment for it.
And the second cause I am working towards is to save the groundwater levels as it is decreasing day by day and the day is not far when the groundwater will disappear.
Working towards a social cause from an early stage is always challenging and that has been my foremost motivation. It is the satisfaction that I get and the energy that I gain working with like-minded people that keeps me going.
Jagriti Yatra - Introduction
Jagriti Yatra is a 15-day long, national train journey across 12 destinations with 500 other Yatris that will take me 8000 kilometers across the length and breadth of India, to understand and build the India of smaller towns and villages through enterprise. I will meet role models, change-makers, leaders that started out on a journey just like me – and made a difference to thousands of lives. I will forge bonds with like-minded young leaders - my co-Yatris and complete strangers. They will become my closest friends and comrades for life. I will be exposed to role models who are building India through enterprise; through them, I will find inspiration to undertake to build my own journey through entrepreneurship.
Motivation to come on yatra?
Working on challenges with like people on the train polishes the idea as well as it opens up the mind to new possibilities. Currently, I am working on a project to save water and solve mental health issues so it could also help me to look at the issue from diverse perspectives of people coming from different regions of India.
Also, travelling to different parts of the country is an opportunity for me to seek insights about the challenges people are facing in different parts of India and get inspired to work towards them
Why I deserve sponsorship?
I am on a mission to create an impact on people in society. My real motive is to build something that will directly ease the lives of the people and make it more impactful. This sponsorship will enable me to join this inspiring yatra which will lead me to seek insights about the challenges people are facing in different parts of India and hence how I can help in providing an efficient solution for it. As I am on my journey to dedicate my energy and life’s path towards a cause that would help people to save water and also solve the mental health issues which are increasing rapidly. Although It can be one person's idea but you require a team to bring that dream into reality. I hope the financial situation will not hold back an aspiring individual from learning, achieving and sharing something in their life. And I believe that people like you, who are reading this right now will empower me to achieve my dream to go on the Jagriti Yatra.
Sponsorship Required:
The Yatra fee is 71,000 INR of which I have received the level 2 sponsorship of 32,000 INR from the Jagriti Team. I am looking for sponsors who can help me with an amount of 46,000 INR out of which 39,000 INR is the Yatra fees and the rest is the travel allowance that I seek.
