For more than a decade, Elders Care Group Trust (ECG) has been a small beacon of hope for the most forgotten members of our community — destitute elders who have no one else to care for them. Since 2015, with the love and generosity of people like you, we have been able to bring them food, clothing, slippers, umbrellas, and vital medical support.
Many of our supporters have made their personal milestones — birthdays, anniversaries, remembrance days — even more meaningful by sharing those special days with these elders. With a careful audit process, we ensure that every one of the 120 elders across Nehru Nagar, KSS Nagar, Sathankuppam, and Sathya Nagar receives help on a rotation basis, so no one is left behind.
Until recently, we operated from a small parking space in Nanmangalam. But as we step into a new decade, we are dreaming bigger. We are reminded of the powerful words of poet Subramania Bharati:
“If even one person goes hungry, it is as if we destroy the world.”
And we have seen this hunger — every single day.
For too long, these elders have gone to bed with empty stomachs, their frail bodies weakened not just by age, but by the cruel weight of neglect.
We want to change this.
We have now moved our head office to a modest place in Kelambakkam, with a small room and open land. Here, we have started serving freshly cooked lunches to 30 elders every Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday. But our vision is to serve nutritious meals every single day — and to eventually feed 50 elders or more, three times a day.
To make this possible, we need:
• ₹2,00,000 for basic infrastructure — a thatched roof and cement flooring for cooking and dining space.
• ₹60,000 per month to provide daily lunch for 30 elders.
This is not just about feeding bodies — it is about restoring dignity, joy, and the simple comfort of knowing that someone cares.
Your contribution, big or small, can be the reason an abandoned elder smiles tomorrow. Together, we can make sure no elder in these villages ever has to sleep hungry again.
