"Hi, this is Deepa Sathish, requesting for my 2-year-old baby Midhun who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital Cancer Institute, Teynampet, Chennai. Midhun was initially diagnosed with a brain tumor and it was during the removal of that tumor in an open skull surgery (at SIMS Hospital), we got to know that it is a rare case of cancer in the brain, also known as ATRT. Brain cancer for a baby is something we have not heard of. And a rare case as this for a two-year-old kid is so painful that we are not able to describe.

As doctors were unsure if Midhun will be able to handle the chemotherapy, there were trial therapies done and later with medical advice, we had started on proper heavy chemotherapy treatment for the past 3 months. The cost has already been more than 15 lakhs.

The chemo and its after-effects costs are very huge. After a round of chemo, blood and platelet transfusions have to be done without fail. Midhun’s father is a tech trainer at a firm and the present pandemic situation has made things more worse for us. We have had support from friends and family but the cost of treatment has crossed way more than what we can even try to afford.

As per doctors, now there’s an emergency need of 30 lakhs for the proton therapy that the doctor (Doctor Revathy Raj) has prescribed and we are in very much need to save our little hero. Any amount that is donated is going to be of help to us.

I humbly request to help our baby Midhun as much as possible. Our friends and family have been helping us to the maximum and it is out of need, we are reaching out here. So kindly contribute as much as you can.
