My mother, Debi Shome, 60, is fighting the most critical battle of her life.
After her health deteriorated suddenly, she was first treated at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong. As her condition worsened, doctors advised advanced critical care and she was shifted to Health City Hospital, Guwahati, where she is now admitted in the ICU on ventilator support.
Her situation is extremely serious. She has multi-organ complications and needs dialysis every day to survive. She is also on round-the-clock ICU monitoring, IV medications, blood pressure support, and other life-saving interventions.
The daily ICU cost is now reaching nearly ₹1,00,000 per day. We, as a family, have exhausted our savings and are struggling to keep up with the mounting hospital bills.
We urgently need to raise ₹10,00,000 to continue her treatment for the next few critical weeks. Without this, we may be forced to discontinue care that is keeping her alive.
As her daughter, I am helpless and heartbroken watching her struggle for each breath. My mother is a kind, strong woman who has spent her whole life caring for us. Today, she needs all of us to fight for her.
