    This fundraiser will benefit

    Debarpan Nath

    from Nabadwip, West Bengal

1.5 years back Debarpan faced stroke for the first time. He lost his balance and was unable to stand. He consulted with Dr. Gautam Ganguly in Chinsurah who advised his family to get the MRI tests done. Debarpan was soon taken to the MR Bangur hospital in Kolkata for the same and after the tests, doctors could figure out that little Debarapan is suffering from the deadly Moyamoya disease. Moyamoya disease requires a surgery and due to the absence of the desired medical instruments in Kolkata, he was advised to go to PGI Chandigarh or Bangalore NIMHANS for the surgery.

Unfortunately, Debarpan's family couldn't afford it as his father had died long back and the family was struggling to meet the ends. He stayed back in his hometown Nabadwip where he faced minor strokes once in a while but could recover thereafter. On 19th December 2020, Debarpan had a major stroke attack that paralysed the right side of his body. He is unable to walk since and his family is trying their best to collect enough money for him to be treated at PGI Chandigarh. The surgery is expected to ensure that he doesn't face any further stroke attacks and according to the doctors, Debarpan's right side paralysis can be cured via regular physiotherapy.

Moyamoya disease is a rare, progressive cerebrovascular disorder caused by blocked arteries at the base of the brain in an area called the basal ganglia.

It is our request if you can kindly donate to this cause and help 6-yr old Debarpan live a healthy life again.
