I am Subrata Ghosh, fervently appealing for funds to continue my brother Debabrata’s treatment. He has been suffering from a serious type of blood cancer since November last (Acute Myeloid Leukemia, FLT3-IRD positive, Allelic Ratio 0.69). He is only 29.
Though from Kolkata, Debabrata has undergone all treatment including chemotherapy at Tata Memorial Hospitals in Varanasi, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai, till the first week of March. He was to undergo BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT (allogeneic HSCT) at Tata Memorial Centre, ACTREC, Navi Mumbai this April.
On account of the nation-wide lock-down, however, he could not move from Kolkata to report there by 06 April as advised. Evaluated at Tata Medical Centre, Rajarhar, Kolkata on 16 April, he now needs chemotherapy again, followed by Bone Marrow Transplant as early as possible.
We have already spent far beyond our means and now need about Rs.30 lakh immediately to continue the treatment.
