Help Shiny and Her Family Rebuild After a Devastating Accident

On May 31st, my dear friend and colleague at HCL Software, graduated from CJITS(2005), Shiny W/o David Salivindala, experienced a life-altering tragedy that has shaken her entire family to the core.

While returning from a short vacation with her young son Rohit, parents (John and Chinnamma), and their driver, their car was hit head-on by a speeding bus attempting to overtake another vehicle. In an instant, life changed forever.

💔 Shiny’s father, Mr. John, died instantly.

💔 Their driver, who had become like family to them, passed away in the hospital.

💔 Shiny’s 10-year-old son, Rohit, suffered a head injury and a fractured arm.

💔 Shiny herself sustained seven fractures and a clot in her brain, requiring seven major surgeries.

💔 Her mother, Mrs. Chinnamma, suffered eight broken ribs and multiple fractures in her limbs — and is now grieving the loss of her husband of decades.

This accident has not only taken a tremendous emotional toll but has also brought a massive financial burden. The cost of emergency care, surgeries, ICU stays, and recovery has amounted to ₹60 lakhs.
