A community-based organization established since 1978, Mahila Patchwork Co-op Society serves the needs of daily wage earners residing in the Muslim majority area of Sanklitnagar, Juhapura, Ahmedabad. With a population of approximately 25,000 people, most of the men are rickshaw drivers, vegetable vendors, butchers, and owners of small shops. The women of the community primarily work as kite makers, maid servants, and do sewing work. They have been deeply impacted by loss of wages and lack of support during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are raising funds to serve the needs of 2000 families with the following:
ration: grains, pulses, oil, sugar, tea (Rs 1800/per family)
PPE kits: gloves, masks, soaps, sanitizers (Rs. 800/ per family)
Please help these families in need, and donate today! Currently, we are able to accept donations from within India only.
