CJP( Cyber Jagrithi Programme) is an awareness program that educates you about the Cyber Crimes going on within you and around you. It helps people understand how they can prevent themselves from becoming a victim to such crimes and steps to be taken.
This program also gives you detailed information by using case studies and punishable offense for those who start and encourage such crimes.
Today, Crime is everywhere. It's just a click away from you and this "send" option with internet access is where the crime starts. Most of the cases today are related to Cyber Crimes which include cyber-stalking, harassment, bullying, and child sexual exploitation, revenge-porn, defamation, etc.,
Even though we have a large system, people get scared to lodge a complaint against these crimes as they get blackmailed to not go to the police, while some are afraid to be judged by society, while some commit suicide. In order to make this safe and secure process government started a website (https://www.cybercrime.gov.in/) where people can lodge the complaint without telling their personal details. Any complaint regarding Cyber Crimes can be filed here directly without going to the police complaint and these cases are given priority as they have to be handled as soon as possible. Not only the person who started this crime but also the people who support such crimes are arrested and it will be a non-bailable case.
