    This fundraiser will benefit

    COVID Workers

    from Mumbai, Maharashtra

What is the problem?
COVID-19 has impacted mental health across demographics and it will continue to do so during and post COVID-19. We need to think about rehabilitation today and that is what we are doing. We have initiated a COVID-19 Mental Health Rehabilitation program that integrates research, building capacity, advocacy and direct services. We are currently fundraising for the first phase of the program that looks at direct service for COVID workers and initiation of research and free peer counselling programs.

What is an immediate need?
COVID-19 workers are exhausted and need help to rebuild and maintain our mental health. We are facing personal losses and dealing with the  losses of strangers that we are trying to support daily. There is an immense feeling of helplessness, compassion fatigue, burnout and guilt.

The second wave of COVID-19 caught up fast and didn't allow for rest or recovery from the first wave for us. Our public health infrastructure is not designed to meet our mental health needs adequately.

Our Solution
Raise funds to pay for mental health needs of COVID-19 workers and manage the process of seeking and receiving help for them. This reduces logistical and financial burden for the workers and ensures that mental health service providers are paid.
