The second wave of COVID-19 has struck India, making India win at breaking the world record of the highest number of cases in the world in a day- 386,452
A devastating surge in coronavirus infections has exposed India's dilapidated health infrastructure and a deep shortage of oxygen - a key treatment for seriously ill Covid-19 patients. COVID-19 is a respiratory disease where oxygen therapy is crucial for severe Covid-19 patients- whose oxygen levels in the blood are low.
The funds we receive with the help of your contribution will be donated to the Hemkunt foundation. Hemkunt Foundation has recognised the need of the hour and has started distributing Oxygen Cylinders to COVID-19 patients only for free. They have been involved in relief activities since 2010 and has arranged for 4,200-odd oxygen cylinders in the last three weeks also being published by Forbes India.
Where are the funds going to go?
The process in action will be transparent for each person to view their contribution and you could also visit their social pages for daily updates!
I sit here, watching my friends, relatives and people in our country suffer or witness the suffering of their loved ones. And so do you.
These funds are all for the people who are in desperate need of help, don't forget the roles could be reversed tomorrow. Join me in helping our own nation now.

6. What does Milaap do with the funds if a patient dies?
It is very unfortunate when a patient, for whom funds were being raised, passes away. At Milaap, we follow the following protocol when it comes to withdrawal of funds in the scenario that the patient passes away. What happens to the funds raised when the patient passes away before the treatment could begin and no funds were transferred yet.
- Donors are notified first that the patient had expired and no funds have been transferred yet.
- Upon confirmation from the patient’s family and hospital, that there are no pending bills, donors will be notified of the funds available which they may re-route to another patient or seek a refund.
- In case of a refund, they’ll be issued the same. The same process holds in case they want their donation to go to the original patient’s family/next-of-kin
