Urgent Appeal from DigiSwasthya:
We are raising funds to provide medicines and equipment to fight against the pandemic at Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh for this digital project. India is facing a public health emergency, with rising death tolls daily. Metro cities are highlighted for running out of Oxygen and beds, the plight of rural India is still unheard of. In rural India where primary healthcare facilities are unreliable, people are dying on the streets of the town, outside district hospitals, in their homes, and also infecting tens of others as the rural population is not even aware of basic symptoms of the COVID-19. Even if they are diagnosed with COVID-19, they are helpless as the health infrastructure has completely collapsed in Sant Kabir Nagar.
In this hour of need, Project DigiSwasthya is helping to detect COVID-19 early, providing online consultation through the best medical practitioners in the country, and extending relief to those in dire need of medical facilities.
During the ongoing second wave, we have help tested more than 100 people and have facilitated e-consultations for the 50+ COVID-19 positive cases. We are working tirelessly to avert the crisis, but we are not equipped with the essential resources to extend it to a larger rural population. We cannot provide oxygen support to low saturation patients reaching the centre as no oxygen cylinder is available within a radius of 250 kilometres. Our staff is devoid of PPE kits. We need oximeters and thermometers to distribute among volunteers to detect symptoms better.
The BP machines and glucometers will be used to detect comorbidities and to improve COVID-19 diagnosis. The more funds we can raise, the more we will be able to make a wider impact at every corner of Sant Kabir Nagar. We will share updates on the delivery and installation of facilities at the earliest. Kindly support us by donating and sharing this message. Together we can and we will save lives.
