"The time is always right to do what is right. Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others? Ask yourself"- Martin Luther King Jr.

Updates: we have crossed the 500 rations kits distribution mark now, still 4500 left. See the update section for information on the 1000 one we already distributed in Jodhpur and Kota rural areas. Update for the remaining distribution is coming up very soon.

We are raising funds to assist rural people in Rajasthan, India, in surviving the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the lockdown. As you might be aware, Covid-19 is sweeping rapidly in rural villages in Rajasthan (and other states), causing many everyday wage workers to lose their jobs and their only source of income. Most are still unable to get a simple meal a day for their families.

We will procure basic food raw materials from big cities such as Jodhpur/Kota and deliver them to villages through RAJ Bhanwar Welfare Trust (details are below) and deliver a basic food kit of raw material. The kit of packed basic food raw materials includes - 1L Cooking Oil (Rs. 150), 1Kg Sugar (Rs. 38), 150 gm Tea (Rs 40), 100gm chili powder (Rs. 23), 100gm turmeric powder (Rs 20), 100 gm coriander powder (Rs 15), 1 Kg table salt (Rs 10), 500 gm jaggery (Rs 19), 500 gm Dal (Rs. 35), 2 Kg Rice (Rs 62), and 3 KG Wheat (Rs 90). We aim to target around 5,000 families in our first round. We will add phases to affect more lives based on how the situation unfolds. Details about the welfare work through raised funds will be shared with the donors.

About RAJ Bhanwar Welfare Trust:
It has been active in several areas of Rajasthan for the last 17 years under the guidance of Sh. Bhanwar Singh, motivated by his religious and philanthropic attitude. The activities mainly involved financial assistance and ration supply to the widow women/needy and poor people; animal protection, support to farmers and weaker sections of the village. What started as humanitarian contributions from Kota and Jodhpur became a formal structure with systematic programmatic and organizational governance through registration (Kota) in 2012. You can also contact the primary person Mahendra Singh Chauhan (Kota, Rajasthan) for more details on the trust. More details on the trust working (tax and registration) and its efforts so far for Covid-19 & other causes (pic and details advertisement): https://tinyurl.com/r7rh8j4j. We plan to put the name of an individual(s) on each of the food kits, to ensure people where all the help is coming from. If you have a special message then mention that in the comment box while donating through Milaap. We thank the bottom of our hearts Milaap for the platform to help us in raising funds systematically.
