The education of these kids at a time like this is the key to a better future for all of us. I am a Teach For India fellow, teaching 45 curious and enthusiastic 4th graders in SDMC Pul Pehladpur, New Delhi. As of now, I am only able to get 10 of my students online. Most of my students don’t have devices like phones and laptops and those who do, do not have internet connectivity to be able to come to a zoom class every day. With the funds I raise along with the device collection drive, I will ensure that my students have internet and devices till our education institutions open up again. Waiting for schools to open for resuming learning will create a huge knowledge gap for the children who don’t have the means to continue their education online, in turn affecting their lives in indescribable ways. Let us make sure that our children are not left behind.
You can help us. Kindly donate to our Milaap campaign where the funds will go into the purchase of mobile phones and internet recharges for our children.
It takes a village to raise a child. I call upon you all to come together and help me educate the children of our country.
