Lohardaga is a small district in Jharkhand, affected by Naxalite activities. More than 90% of the population in the district cannot afford private healthcare, and is therefore reliant on government healthcare facilities. Faced with an ever-increasing burden of Covid-positive patients not just from within the district, but also from nearby districts, government medical facilities are facing critical shortages of medical equipment and supplies during the pandemic.
We are in desperate need of a centralized oxygen pipeline, oxygen cylinders, pulse oximeters, and medicines such as ivermectin and doxycycline.
While we are working tirelessly to ensure that everyone who tests positive returns to their homes safe and sound, it is becoming impossible to do that given the resource crunch we face.
In view of the desperate times we are living in, we urge you all to come forward and donate generously to help save as many lives as possible in this hour of need.
