Greetings
We are a small group of parents, concerned for their children, and a group of children concerned for their future, our kids are supported by NGO based in our camp, Chispay Tolop Khang (which is dedicated to children).
Ladakh is in the Indian Himalayas, it is a cold stony desert. We all come from the massive rural exodus, now living in the suburban area of Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Our colony is dry, we don't have water, we don't have green areas, and we don't have space and water to grow vegetables anymore. Our kids don't have a single space dedicated to them, no parks, no leisure, no activities centre, no library. And, we, parents, have to work to provide for our families.
With the modernity and changes in lifestyle, our kids are more subject to depression, addiction, suicide, violence, idleness etc.....
Today we are seeking financial assistance to help our youth achieve their dreams. We have a quote of 53 lakhs + 3 lakhs (for the accommodation of the construction team and their flight ticket) = 56 lakh for the construction of the Skatepark by 100ramps, which I have attached for your reference. We already have a plot of land for the project, 5 kanals, 2 kanals for the skatepark; and 3 kanals for the garden and activities centre.
Our aims and objectives:
THE OBJECTIVES
To offer children a healthy activity to REDUCE:
We are hoping that many people will find ways to HELP OUR KIDS FULFILLING THEIR BIGGEST DREAM and to help also the expansion of the skateboarding sport up to the heights of the Himalayas. We also dream of being able to host Khelo India and other skateboarding competitions here in Ladakh once construction is complete.
Thank you for you generosity and empathy

We have a great dream:
to BUILD THE FIRST SKATEPARK of Ladakh.

"We want to offer a skate park to our kids to overcome those problems, to provide them with a space dedicated to them, where they can practice their favourite sport in safety, where they can improve, where they can keep busy with healthy activity, where they can meet with educator and counsellors."
