    This fundraiser will benefit

    children from villages

    from Maharashtra, Maharashtra

Climate change is no longer a future threat, it’s here. Children in our village are already seeing its impact on water, crops, and health. Instead of waiting to be told what to do, they are designing their own syllabus: learning through experiments, models made from trash, embroidery, and several artforms. This hands-on learning not only builds their understanding but sparks conversations in the whole community. Your contribution helps us fund their learning and buy resources so these young learners can continue leading the way.

Meet Rahul, a 16-year-old from a displaced community who dreams of becoming a wildlife conservationist.

For the last four years, Rahul has spent countless hours observing birds and animals around his village. He interviewed his grandparents and elders about the species they once saw in their pre-displaced ecosystem - learning about more than 200 animals and birds. Shocked to find that many of them had disappeared, he began studying why species are going extinct, exploring climate change, biodiversity, and human–wildlife conflict.

But Rahul doesn’t stop at learning. Using hand embroidery, painting, illustrations, and field notes, he now documents this incredible diversity through art and science. He has read over 50 wildlife books and shares his knowledge with younger children in his community, inspiring the next generation of learners.

Rahul could never have found this kind of learning in mainstream schools. With your support, children like Rahul can continue exploring their passions, understanding climate change, and teaching their communities.

At just 16, Rahul teaches younger children about climate change, wildlife, and disappearing species. At just 16, Rahul teaches younger children about climate change, wildlife, and disappearing species.

Why Your Support Matters
Stories like Rahul’s are possible because children at Insight Walk have the freedom to design their own syllabus and a facilitator to guide them. But to keep this learning alive, we need your support.

Mainstream schools rarely offer space for children to explore climate change, biodiversity, or their community’s challenges. At Insight Walk, your contribution makes that possible. It funds a facilitator’s salary, provides materials for embroidery, experiments, and models, and helps us document and share children’s work with the wider community.

Every contribution, big or small helps children turn curiosity into knowledge, and knowledge into community resilience.

How Your Contribution Helps
Every rupee you give goes directly into children’s learning journeys at Insight Walk.

  • ₹500 → Supports one child for a month (resource kit: embroidery threads, paints, recycled materials, science experiments).
  • ₹5,000 → Supports 10 children for a month.
  • ₹10,000 → Covers a facilitator’s salary and training for a month, enabling 30 children to design their own syllabus and learn hands-on.
  • ₹20,000 → Funds a facilitator and resources for 30 children for two months.
Your contribution doesn’t just fund education! It fuels curiosity, confidence, and climate resilience in children who would never get this kind of learning in mainstream schools.

What Projects You Can Support
  • Climate & Community Lab – Children design models and experiments to understand the local effects of climate change from droughts and floods to changes in agriculture and water use.
  • Trash to Treasure Lab – Kids turn discarded waste into meaningful models and art, learning sustainability through creativity.
  • Voices of Children Project – Through embroidery, carvings, and paintings, children tell climate stories from their own community, preserving memory and sparking awareness.
  • Mobile Science Experiments – Simple, low-cost experiments that help children explore cause-and-effect of environmental changes in ways textbooks can’t.

The Bigger Picture Impact
At Insight Walk, children are not passive learners. They are researchers, artists, and storytellers who connect global issues like climate change to their own lives. When a child embroiders a disappearing bird species, or builds an experiment from trash, they are not only learning science but they are sparking conversations in their families and community.

Mainstream education often leaves rural children disconnected from urgent realities like climate change and biodiversity loss. Our child-led model changes that. It gives them tools to question, experiment, and act. Your support helps children build knowledge that will stay with them for life: knowledge that creates resilience for entire communities.

When one child learns, an entire community benefits. Together, let’s make sure children like Rahul and many others continue to ask questions, experiment, and share their knowledge. Donate now and become part of their journey. To thank our donors, we often send them artwork made by our students - embroidery, drawings, or small pieces of their climate projects. If you’d like to receive one, please DM us on Instagram (@InsightWalk) after your donation. It’s our way of sharing their creativity with you.

Note: Donations to Insight Walk benefit tax exemption. Please fill in the complete details while making donation, it will help us process receipts on time.
