OUR APPEAL

In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of children across India have been left more vulnerable than before. We at Toddle are raising funds for the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation and aiding their efforts to safeguard children adversely impacted by the crisis. All funds collected will go directly to the Foundation and will be utilised towards meeting institutional needs, providing medical facilities, and the holistic care children need at this time. Toddle TIES is a free event and will always be. This year, given the circumstances, we appeal to all our educator friends who attended TIES 2021, and found it worth their while, to come forward and donate towards this cause in this time of grave need. Your donation will go a long way in supporting at-risk children. We urge you to donate with an open heart - no contribution is too small.

DETAILS ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER:

  • INR 260,000/ US$ 3,500 can help sustain a vulnerable child in a Children’s Home / school with hostel for a year
  • INR 150,000 / USD 2,100 can help provide medical and sanitization facilities to about 50 children in one shelter home
GOAL 1: SUPPORTING CHILDREN WHO LOST THEIR PARENT(S) TO PANDEMIC
With more and more people getting infected with the virus, and many of them succumbing to it or being admitted to hospitals, reports of children being stranded without any help are flowing in every day. Under the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, we at Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF)* have stepped in to identify and reach out to such vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents to the pandemic and require immediate institutional care in children's home or schools with hostel facility. At these children’s homes and/or schools, children will be provided all the necessary medical facilities, along with counselling support, boarding, lodging, clothing, education and extra-curricular activities, to ensure that they are equipped to cope with the trauma. You can support by contributing any amount convenient. The cost per child in children's home/school with hostel facilities for a year is approximately INR 260,000 / USD 3,500 and for a month is INR 22,000 / USD 300.

GOAL 2: PROVIDING MEDICAL AND SANITIZATION KITS TO CHILDREN’S HOME
There are children living in child care institutions who are more vulnerable than ever before and in need of immediate attention, care and protection. We have initiated the process of providing lifesaving medicines, oxygen concentrators and cylinders, and sanitization kits to at least 50 child care homes in Delhi and NCR. Each kit includes 1 oxygen concentrator, 1 oximeter, 2 infra-red thermometers, 1 nebulizer, 2 steam machines, 500 masks, 50 sanitisers, essential medicines, multi-vitamins and ORS packets; and would cater to about 50 children per children’s home. These kits will address their immediate medical needs, enhance hygiene, boost immunity and thereby help break the chain of spread of the virus, thus saving lives.
You can support by contributing any amount convenient. The approximate cost of each kit is INR 150,000 / USD 2,100 presently.

We also request you to call on our helpline number 1800 102 7222 to report any case where a child requires immediate attention.
