Parimal Trust is a non-profit organization, that works primarily in the domain of
- Child & Youth Development.
We firmly believe that there are numerous gaps in the society created by the caste and class structure. Education is one of the first premises which would help in reducing these gaps and provide the required support to these children.
We aim to develop the soft skills of the children so that they can be ready for the challenges as well as for the opportunities that await them. It was an initiative for their overall personality development and understanding.
Parimal is becoming a happy place for many students, a ray of hope which makes them believe that they can achieve what they want to be one day.
One such story is of a girl Shalu who is a part of Parimal for over 6 years. Joined in as a kid, Shalu was afraid and used to avoid going to the classes, but now eagerly waits for them to resume During the pandemic, the Parimal team called to check on the kids and their needs, Shalu recalls. She further shares the story of her studying in a government school but, was unable to read Hindi and English properly. However she did not lose hope and the teachers supported her at every step and with their support and her own zeal and ambition, she now can write as well as communicate with confidence. On being asked what her dream world looks like she says, she would like a world where education is available for all the kids, no one is left behind, and in the future, she would like to be just like the Parimal Family and help everyone in their lives.
Another such story is of Radhika, a student of class 8th, who joined Parimal 4 years back. Her life has had many changes after Parimal Pathshala, she says there is a difference in her speech; the way she talks, the discipline in her everyday life, she has learned to respect herself and the people around her, there are changes in her studies- overall enhancement in every aspect of her life. Here she learns yoga, and one of her most favorite non-academic activities- Karate, she is a yellow belt as of now (on the second belt), and soon enough she will give the exam for the green belt. Radhika recalled, “No matter how much I thank them it's not enough, they made us capable and made us learn new ways and better ways of living."
Parimal Pathshala is working to increase its base to thousands and slowly millions of children and the needy so we could help them grow and can help them achieve something in their life.
We are conducting a fundraising campaign to help children like Radhika and Shalu who are left far behind due to the changing nature of the education landscape because of Covid19. They are left behind because of a lack of access to smartphones or any digital device. Many students like Radhika and Shalu are suffering because of the digital divide that already existing and it is only becoming bigger day by day.
We ask your support to help us raise funds and get tablets for children so that their learning does not stop.
Help us save the future of our country and shape their learning journey!
