My name is Rupam. On 2nd August, 2024 Me & my wife were blessed with a baby girl. However, the delivery wasn't under normal circumstances on that day. During the morning hours of the day, my wife started bleeding which made us rush her to the reputed Motherhood Hospital for Women & Children situated in HRBR layout, Bengaluru . And, upon careful observation, our gynae doctor advised that the delivery needs to be performed as early as possible as our baby girl's heartbeat was slowing down. Hence, the operation was done during the afternoon hours around 2:30 pm on that day.
Our baby is premature born just after 30 weeks gestation with a very low weight of 1.2 kgs (normal weight ranges between 3-4 kgs). This birth weight is further expected to go down below 1 kg as confirmed to us by the attending doctors. To cope with the premature birth, the baby girl has to be kept in incubator for the next few weeks until our baby girl regain weight upto minimum 1.7 kgs. As confirmed by the doctor to regain this weight the baby has to be in the NICU for at least one month. This will costs us around 40-45 k per day. The baby is being treated in the same hospital and is in able hands. To add to the current stressful situation, my wife developed some post pregnancy complications and had to be shifted to another hospital ( TriLife Hospital, 80 Feet Road, HRBR Layout, Bengaluru) & currently being treated in the ICU.
We need to arrange a huge sum of rupees around 15 lakhs for the ongoing treatment in NICU & till the baby can be released after gaining sufficient weight. The next few months of the treatment is crucial for the baby's appropriate growth.
No amount is big or small, any amount of contribution to help our child get the best treatment would be accepted with immense gratitude.
