My name is Prasad Reddy, and along with my wife, Priya, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt plea from two parents trying to save their 10-year-old daughter, Thushitha.
We are from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, and our world turned upside down over a year ago when Thushitha began falling seriously ill. She was initially treated for MOGAD (Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disease) at NIMHANS, Bengaluru, where doctors worked tirelessly to control her symptoms.
However, as her condition worsened, further investigations revealed a far more serious and rare illness Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a life-threatening disorder in which the immune system attacks the body’s own cells and organs. Following this diagnosis, she was referred to Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
After months of intense treatment, the doctors have concluded that the only curative option for Thushitha is a bone marrow transplant. This is now her only chance of survival.
We have already spent around Rs. 15 lakhs using all of our savings and by taking loans. But the bone marrow transplant and essential post-transplant care will cost more than Rs. 50 lakhs, including hospitalisation, medications, and long-term follow-up.
This cost is far beyond what we can afford on our own. As parents, we are doing everything we can—but now, we humbly ask for your support.
Please help us give our daughter a second chance at life. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to saving her. Even if you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your network would mean the world to us.
Your kindness and support could be the reason Thushitha gets to live.
With hope and heartfelt gratitude,
Prasad Reddy & Priya
