My name is Nagalakshmi, and I am here to raise funds for my daughter Hanvitha, who is just 7 years old. We live in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Hanvitha was a cheerful and healthy child, living a normal life until June this year. Suddenly, she developed a high fever, severe headaches, and repeated seizures. Since then, her condition has worsened drastically. Doctors diagnosed her with Super-Refractory Status Epilepticus (F.I.R.E.S – Febrile Infection-Related Epilepsy Syndrome), along with septic shock and severe intestinal complications.
She was admitted to Manipal Hospitals PICU, where she spent 25 days on a ventilator. Later, she was shifted to Sagar Hospitals, Bengaluru, as she now requires advanced medications, continuous ICU care, and possible surgical interventions to survive.
At present, her FIRES is under control, but she is still battling pneumonia, chest infection, and abdominal infections. She has been in the ICU for the last 52 days at Sagar Hospitals, receiving continuous PICU care.
Until now, we have spent about ₹50,00,000, which we managed through our savings and loans. In the coming days, we urgently need another ₹50,00,000 to continue her treatment and give her a chance at recovery.
As parents, it is heartbreaking to see our little girl struggling in the ICU for so long. We are doing everything possible, but the treatment costs have gone far beyond what we can bear alone.
