Sir/ madam,
Myself swati chetan thakur from satpala virar west; My husband Chetan(age:36) met with an accident on 2nd june afternoon; he hasgot spinal injury.His C-4,C-5 & C-5,C-6 has been fractured & dislocated.Also he has spinal cord compression & quadriplegia.
After accident we took him to nearby hospital (Sahyog hospital) they took out all his reportsincluding MRI & CT scan.There they suggested to go for immidiate operation. We decided to go for operation immidiately.They took him for operation at around 7:30.But after 10/15 min they said that he is bit critial his BP is going down so better you shift him to Bombay.They reffered us to Hindija hospital to Dr.Kshitij Choudhari.We reached to hinduja hospital at 11:30 pm there also icu beds were not available Dr aligned all his cervical bones & kept him applying fraction overnight & operated him successfully in the morning.Dr.Choudhri said that operation is successful probably for 1..2 days we will keep him in icu for observation & then will shift in general room.For 1st day in ICU his bp was becoming little low so they suggested him to keep in icu for one more day.But later his oxygen level started falling down.so firstly they kept him on oxygen then shifted him on ventilator.After which he was totally unconcious for around 26hrs Doctor said that he is not responding at all so better you remove ventilator.We all collapse & came home.But later he opened his eyes, he had dissussion with us ....bus still doctor said his upper part i.e brain is functioning but below neck he is nonfuctional due to nerve damage brain signals are not reaching to lower body part & vital organs..so we should remove ventillator as we also have finance proble because nerve damage takes lots of time to get cured & we never know hw much time it will take.They suggested if you want to take chance shift him to government hospital /sm other hospital where you can get same treatment & ventillator for prolong time.
so we shifted him to Mother terresa hospital virar west near to our house(as in gov hospitals icu beds were not available).
My husbands age is less.I have a daughter who is 2yrs old.I am private school teacher .During pendamic my husband was getting reduced salary 50-75%.And my school was almost closed i was taking some online lectures but salary was negligible.We were unable to renew our health policy.so could not get policy benefit in above case.
I pray for his servival........i want him for my daughter who is merely 2yrs old
We have already spent approx 5 lac in hinduja hospital right now his daily expence is 25-30K.We have performed his tracheostomy which cost 44K.
Arranged all above money from family members & relatives.
I request you all to do needfull......kindly help us out with finance also if any neurologist is there who can help us out to come out through this medically kindly notify us.
