India is undergoing a 2nd wave of Coronavirus infections of devastating proportions. The number of cases in the country continues to rise at an alarming rate that is decimating the health care system’s ability to cope. Patients are being turned away from hospitals. Hospital patients are dying due to the lack of supplies and medicines.  Currently the infectivity rate is 1 in 3.  In a densely populated city like New Delhi, vulnerable children are being affected without warning.

CanAssist Society is urging all those who are watching the news stories and feeling heartache, compassion and sympathy, to please donate so we can help the children’s homes we have been supporting come out on the other side of this devastating surge in cases healthy, safe,…and alive.

We are reopening our fundraising campaign today to urgently request your donations so we can provide emergency COVID related funds for PPE (personal protective equipment), sanitizer, vitamins, clean water, food and medicine. No amount is too small. Some of the children’s homes we support are responsible for up to 500 children plus care staff.  Help us do what we can to protect the most vulnerable, and those who care for them, in this situation.
