News on Padma Shri Haripal In "The Hindu" and on updateodisha.com

We are Raising funds for building a small house for a respectable living for Padma Shri Jitendra Haripal. He is a renowned folk Singer from western Odisha. His song "Rangabati" is not only famous in Odisha but all over India and abroad too. 

He received the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India from the Government of India in 2017 for his contribution to the Indian Music. Due to his destiny, he lost one of his sons 10 years back and another paralyzed-on bed out of 3 Sons. His elder son, the only breadwinner of the 11-member family is out of a job due to Covid. Their mud house fell down recently in Rain. As of now, he has not received any help from Govt. We hope Govt will come forward for help. However, we feel such a renowned singer cannot be left to wait for Govt help. I request all my fellow citizens to come forward to help so that at least we can make a liveable house for him to live respectfully. I wish such a situation does not arise for anyone.
