Hi, my name is Samten Dolker. I am born and brought up in "I" Village of Tibetan Settlement in Kollegal, Karnataka. 

The road in my village has not been built for the last 33 years of my life. Every year the community tries to maintain the "kutcha" road but the monsoon always washes our work away. Since "I" village resides on a steep road, the "kutcha" or dirt road becomes slippery during the monsoon affecting local kids on their way to school, and also the elderly on their routine walks. Younger generations are moving out to cities leaving only older generation and kids behind which makes it harder to maintain the "kutcha" road every year.

The objective is to build a cement road, that would withstand all weather, keeping the residents safe and make their daily commute convenient.

We plan to initiate the project in the month of December.
