***************I am Lakshmi and am an ardent animal welfare volunteer. The photo you see is that of Bubbles, a 5 year old dog, who I rescued off the roads when she was just 35-40 days old. Apparently, her canine mom died in a road accident around that time.
I fostered her and got her adopted into a nice home. A gentleman who lived alone by himself adopted her, looked after her, and gave her all the care in the world for 5 years. She grew up well there. More recently, on August 1, 2019, he passed away suddenly.
The vonlunteers are soon going to shift her to the shelter, Welfare For Animals in Goa. I'll keep donors updated. Once tests are done, I'll attach reports on the page here. My priority, in any case, is to collect funds for the baby's daily expenses and medical bills. Mind you, medical bills aren't meagre.
Then, Bubbles' canine companion, the owner's other pet, passed away three weeks later due to sheer trauma and kidney problems. Now, Bubbles is in a kennel. I am raising funds for her upkeep and vet bills. Her blood indicates liver problems and the vet is in the process of doing more tests to figure what exactly is the problem. All this needs funds.
The vet says that her trauma (due to the demise of her human parent) has brought to the surface underlying health issues. Right now, heartening news is that she is showing improvement - she has started eating a little food twice a day and is starting to show signs of playfulness.
I am looking to get her re-adopted once she picks up better health. Please donate for her. I have chosen not to give up on her and I hope you won't either. I'll keep donors updated.
