Our dear Bodanaboina Guru Prasad, a loving husband and father of two young sons, is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. Coming from a poor family, Prasad has always been a hardworking man devoted to his family and their well-being. But life took a devastating turn on October 7, 2025, when he was rushed to the Emergency Room in an unresponsive state.
Doctors found that his condition was critical — his kidneys were failing, and he had to be intubated and put on life support. His Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score showed minimal responsiveness, and his creatinine levels shot up to 10, indicating severe Acute Kidney Injury (AKI).
Since then, Prasad has undergone multiple sessions of hemodialysis and SLED (Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis) to remove toxins and stabilize his body. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, his condition remains critical — he is still in a coma, dependent on medical support for survival.
He continues to battle complications such as high blood pressure, fever, metabolic acidosis, and bed sores, requiring round-the-clock care. The medical team has advised ongoing nephrology evaluations to find the underlying cause of kidney failure and continued ICU monitoring with specialized medications, dialysis, and ventilator support.
