Bleed without barriers is a student led non profit organisation. It regularly conducts drives to meet the underprivileged and provide them sanitary pads. We also teach them how to make sanitary cotton pads at a affordable cost. Our main aim to clear the stigma around menstruation. We spare no effort in bringing a change in our own ways. We firmly believe in feminism and condemn discrimination on the basis of cast color and sex. Menstruation is not a "women's thing".Our bodies don't determine our identities and gender identity does not determine whether we menstruate or not It is inclusive and accurate to say "people who menstruate" rather than saying "women". For example, some trans men menstruate and some trans women don't. Not all biological women menstruate either, due to a variety of medical conditions like menopause, stress, hysterectomies, and disease like fibroids. A study reveals that menstrual hygiene is far from satisfactory among a large population of adolescents. In some families, periods are perceived as unsanitary, unholy and embarrassing. Tis leads to lack of information fear, anxiety, damaging misconceptionsThis is why Bleed Without Barriers aims to educate people about menstruation, its physiological implications, its significance in the development of secondary sexual characteristics, and above all, about proper hygienic practices.
