This is written on behalf of Biswanath Ghosh, who's undergoing treatment, and faces extreme financial crisis. Money & Medicines are both welcome. Please find his plea below:
“I am Biswanath Ghosh (60 years), residing in Village Kirtipur of Barasat-II Block. I used to work in a Small Rubber Factory, as a daily wage labourer. Due to daily exposure to unhealthy conditions at the workplace, I have been suffering from COPD & DPLD for about 7 years. At present, I am on a death row. In the past year, with the assistance from a relative of mine, I got admitted in a private hospital. After a long period of treatment, I recovered a little and was able to return home. At present, I do not possess the financial means to bear the transportation expenses for the hospital. I do not possess the physical strength to be able to travel by public transport to the hospital. My condition is such that I must take oxygen and nebulizer support at least three to four times a day.
I am a father to two daughters, who have already been married to lower middle-class families. My only son is the sole earning member in the family. He is working as a driver for a transport vehicle and his monthly earning is about ₹12000. During lockdown for Covid-19, he didn’t get any salary & it was tough for us to survive.
My daily medical and other expenses are about ₹400. Due to lack of money, I am only able to afford half of my medicines. In this situation, I am asking you for financial help. With some help from you, I will be able to treat my physical condition and survive for a few more days.
Thanking You.”
