we have formed a group named Ushor and been working from the March 28th onwards for the betterment against covid19 in kolkata and its adjoining areas.
In Amphan relief distribution have benefited more than 20000 people in the areas of sundarban. We have distributed tarpaulins, rice , dal, sattu, puffed rice , poha , edible oil, amulspray, horlicks, ors, skin ointment , water purifying tablets, sanitary pads.
Till 5th January 2021 we have distributed more than 140000 kg rice and 60000 kg dal along with potato, onion, sattu, edible oil. Also distributing from 10th April to 28th July 2020 fresh cooked food daily in noon to around 350 people and evening tiffin to around 250 people.
In October during Durga Puja have distributed 8000 new clothes and lunch to 500 kids.
We have initiated another project in December 2020 Lets Be Santa by whiich we distributed winter garments cakes, sweets to 1000 people along with food.Our responsibility is to help poor people because many people don’t have enough food and clothes.
We all can protect our families. But imagine going through this crisis with no access to soap or water. No hope of isolating. It's time to react and help poor people on daily wages.COVID-19 is a situation, unlike anything we’ve faced before. Every penny raised from this will be used for slum dwellers and daily wage earner families.
