Sujatha and Biju were returning home on Sunday, to prepare themselves and the family for their journey ahead, to fight Sujatha's dreaded Cancer affliction, when they got hit from behind by a rash driver. It was a horrific accident, with Sujatha suffering very serious multiple fractures to the pelvic bone and collar bone, head injury and much more. Her husband Biju too suffered a fracture and was put out of action.
Meanwhile at home their two daughters were worried witless about the inordinately long delay in the arrival of their parents, till the news hit them and then they broke down. Currently they are with friends, as the family does not have any other support system.
They had just about got back to normalcy, having lost a large part of their belongings in the recent flood and the ensuing sickness, when this double tragedy hit them.
Financially fragile, Biju the sole earner is now out of action, the burden has gone sky rocketing and they are helpless, horrified and aghast. In his presnt condition Biju can do nothing more than helplessly stand by and stare at his wife lying in pain in the bed.
