About Kamalesh Parmar and his footpath school initiative:
Kamalesh Parmar has started this footpath school in 1993 and since then he is in the field of education for needy children who cannot afford the high fees. Apart from the primary education from school, everyday children used to come to Kamalesh Sir's place for extra studies. With studies, Kamalesh Parmar also provides food to children who went to his footpath school. He himself teaches to almost 150-200 students every now and then and almost 10-15 other volunteers to help him in this objective. From laboring slum and colonies nearby, as many as 200-250 students benefited with his objective of this footpath school. You can get information about his footpath school by using Google itself and you will realize how this benefit will go to actually needy and poor people and their children who are willing to study and get themselves educated enough to employ at least from a household after the studies.
The idea behind the footpath school germinated around 10 years ago when Parmar - the owner of a fabrication unit - ran into some slum children on his way to pick up his son from school. Interaction with the children revealed that they learned nothing from their schools. At footpath school, students are given insight into what they are taught in school.
Purpose of the fundraiser:
I live in Ahmedabad's Ambawadi area from where Kamal Sir's footpath school is quite near. Kamal Sir is running this footpath school for a long and from so many years he is working for this cause with providing food and education to the nearby needy children who want to study. I am one of the people who want to help him by raising funds through this fundraiser. I want to give INR 2,00,000 to survive the footpath school in terms of food items and study material, but I am also a middle-class salaried person and cannot give this much amount on the go, hence I am requesting all of such good people who willing to help the cause can donate and can provide educational aid to Kamal Sir.

Output and utilization of this Fundraiser:
The main purpose of this fundraiser is to provide basic aid to Kamal Sir's footpath school. Kamal Sir's basic concept for providing education in the form of providing food to children (just like the mid-day meal scheme) and also providing study materials to students of various standards. However, due to the Covid-19 outbreak and lock-down, the footpath school gets affected in the manner of financial instability and uncertainty. Hence, I have decided to join here on Milaap where many good people used to help such objectives, for me, the purpose of the fund is to provide -
- Food items, food packets, and grocery items for children who went there for study (the same concept of mid-day meal)
- Study materials for various standards for supporting educational exams.
About myself:

I am Bhavin and I am working in an organization, Kaivalya Education Foundation a subsidiary of our Umbrella Organisation named Piramal Foundation in the Finance Department since March 2019, our organization is basically a change management organization that implements various programs at the State and District Level in terms of Government Education. Mainly through various program teams, our organization enhances the study level of states and districts with the tie-up with government schools and also with government organizations like NITI Ayog. Our organization is sustained in terms of external donors from various business entities and corporates from India and Outside India. However, since when I joined the organization, I realize that there is an actual need of enhancing the level of education from ground level where we have various trusts and NGOs are working but soon I found that there are enough people who also work for this purpose independently, and hence I decided to come to Milaap and willing to aggregate the funds for various different individuals who work for the same purpose.
