YOUR SUPPORT REQUESTED FOR THE BEYOND BORDERS FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL 2023
The 4th edition of Beyond Borders Feminist Film Festival will be held in Delhi from November 30, 2023, onwards with a thought-provoking and inspiring selection of South Asian documentaries and short fiction. Many of the films being screened are Delhi premieres.
Curated by Aanchal Kapur and Reena Mohan, the festival was launched after a nudge from the late Kamla Bhasin in 2020 (supported by Sangat) and is our commitment to strengthening solidarities in the South Asian region.
The festival has been partially supported by Jagori in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and come this far thanks to the enthusiasm and backing of the India Habitat Centre, the participating filmmakers, and the Kriti Film Club volunteers. As a measure of the festival’s growing popularity, the Alliance Francaise de Delhi has come on board as a second venue this year and the Kriti Film Club is extending the festival independently at this venue.
The schedule for this year’s festival is as follows:
India Habitat Centre, Delhi / starting on South Asian Women’s Day, November 30 till December 4, 2023
Alliance Francaise de Delhi / from December 5 till 8, 2023
Online from December 10 to 26, 2023 on https://doculive.blogspot.com/
As the COVID nightmare recedes, we are keen to host the participating filmmakers in Delhi so that audiences may engage in offline discussions with as many of them as possible, building feminist thought and action. We need support for their travel and accommodation and this fundraising campaign is an effort in that direction.
We need more friends, partners and supporters to come on board. All supporters will be credited in the festival outreach.
This campaign is an appeal for funds and support/partners to enable us to cover the necessary expenses of the festival. For those who require it, an 80G exemption is offered.
We are open to taking the festival to other physical locations in India and South Asia in partnership with colleges, cultural institutions and NGOs.
The Kriti Film Club is a one-of-its-kind, independent documentary and short film curation and screening initiative since 2000. Read about us here: https://krititeam.blogspot.com/p/kriti-film-club.html
